Crane operator workers in British Columbia have been locked out since June due to the union.
Union leader David Sorensen said the company “should have known better” about the risk of dangerous work and the company’s failure to provide workers with the same protections as other workers.
The union says it’s asking a court to impose sanctions against the company and impose fines for the company to compensate workers for lost wages and other damages.
The company has not commented. (AP)
